The time has arrived
and the plans are set to enjoy a special celebration.
We are going to be celebrating our quarter of a century year
of being out of school.
The time is right and we still look good (hopefully)
and we are ready to party and enjoy
a homecoming like no other.
Mark your calendars and make plans to attend the
Class of 79’s 25th Reunion.
THE REUNION WILL
BE HELD ON
JULY 16th and 17th of 2004.
("NO, YOU ARE NOT HALLUCINATING SAME DATES AS OUR 20TH
REUNION")
It all begins on Friday, July 16, 2004
at 7:00 p.m. – till.
The location will be off of Hwy 90 at Treasure Oaks in
Ocean Springs.
We will be serving light hor d’ oeuvres, soft drinks, keg
beer,
wine and setups. So bring your own bottle with you,
and
do not open it until you get there.
The theme is called Retro night, so you will be asked to come
in those clothes that reflect that year… you can’t remember,
let me help you. Lots of skin, bellbottoms, large collar
shirts, etc… Only for the daring, if you choose not to wear
the attire that is fine. We no longer have the strength or
energy to ask you to meet us outside. A local DJ will provide
the music.
The Saturday night
celebration, July 17, at 7:30 will be at the
Ocean Springs
Civic Center located on Highway 90 East.
A very cool and relaxing atmosphere is planned for this night.
Semi Formal attire is asked, but again if you choose not to
wear this we will not hold it against you. The classes of 1978
and ‘80 are invited to join in on this celebration. There will
be heavy hor d’ oeuvres, soft drinks, and an open bar. A local
DJ or band (undecided) will entertain us.
A photographer will be present to take pictures.
We will also be taking orders for a memory book and video.
I know it will be hard
to break away from your busy schedules, and we all understand
there is so much more involved in coming from out of town--
someone to watch the kids, a place to stay once you arrive.
It has been 5 years for some and 15 or 25 for others since the
last time we were all together and, I hope you can make
arrangements to be here.
We are all looking forward to seeing as many of you as
possible.
Now, for the final
step in the planning of this wonderful get together, the
MONEY! Please send your payment in no later than May 1, 2004--
or sooner. We have limited funds to start out with, and
receiving the monies quickly will help ensure that each night
turns out wonderful.
The cost will be $40.00 per person and $80.00 per couple.
